September in Tualatin is when the city's genuine community character comes through most clearly. The Farmers Market is at harvest peak, the fall wine and food calendar in the broader Tualatin Valley is active, and the community's parks and trail system are at their most comfortable for outdoor activity.

Upcoming September Events

The Tualatin Crawfish Festival, one of the most well-known Washington County community traditions, draws residents from across the Tualatin Valley each year. While the main festival runs in late summer, September marks the continuation of Tualatin Commons' outdoor community programming that makes the downtown park area one of the area's most active gathering spaces through the fall transition.

The Tualatin Valley's fall beer and wine festival circuit kicks into gear in September. The Sherwood Wine Festival features Willamette Valley wineries, local restaurants, and live music, accessible from Tualatin in minutes. The Beaverton Lager Fest features 30 participating breweries throughout the state. The Helvetia Farm Market Wine Festival brings ten local wineries pouring 15 different wines with happy hour food specials and local food vendors at the countryside market with open views. All three are within easy driving distance from Tualatin.

The Tualatin River National Wildlife Refuge sees some of its best wildlife activity in September as migratory birds begin their fall passage through the freshwater marshes and riparian corridors — a reliable and free community nature resource that rewards a weekday morning visit.

Business Promotions Heading Into Fall

Tualatin's Boones Ferry Road commercial corridor and the Bridgeport Village retail area typically feature fall menu launches and end-of-summer promotions through September. Local breweries and wine bars in Washington County are particularly active with fall specials during the harvest season.

Community Highlights

Tigard-Tualatin School District's school year is fully underway, and Tualatin's residential neighborhoods settle into their school-year pace. The Tualatin Community Park's trail system and the Fanno Creek Greenway connection are at their most comfortable walking temperatures of the year.
